<p>Telecommunication infrastructure plays a critical role in promoting economic growth by improving connectivity, reducing transaction costs, and supporting innovation. Despite recent improvements, Nigeria continues to experience gaps in telecommunication infrastructure development, which limit its economic potential. This study investigates the impact of telecommunication infrastructure development on economic growth in Nigeria over the period 1990–2022. Annual time-series data were obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the National Bureau of Statistics, and the World Bank. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model was employed to examine both short-run and long-run relationships among the variables. The results indicate the existence of a long-run relationship between telecommunication infrastructure development and economic growth. Findings further reveal that telecommunication infrastructure and capital formation have positive and statistically significant effects on economic growth in the long run, while transport and educational infrastructure show insignificant effects. The study recommends sustained investment in telecommunication infrastructure, improved regulatory frameworks, and efficient utilisation of resources to enhance Nigeria’s long-term economic performance.</p>
